PRE 2020/06 (BUILD DATE) DME UNLOCKS
MG1/MD1 DME Unlock Service
If your vehicle is equipped with a pre-June 2020 MG1 DME, it can be unlocked quickly and safely without sending your ECU away. Simply bring the car to us, or we can travel to you, and the unlock is completed directly through the vehicle in about 15 minutes. This process is called a local bench unlock. Once the DME is unlocked, you’ll be able to flash any tuning software you prefer (such as BM3, MHD, or others) through the OBD port without any further restrictions.
POST 2020/06 (BUILD DATE) DME UNLOCKS
For vehicles equipped with a post-June 2020 MG1 DME, the unlock process requires the ECU to be removed from the vehicle. We can come to you (or you can bring the car to us), and we will safely remove the DME and prepare it for unlocking. The unit is then processed through AutoTuner USA, who performs the unlock. Once completed, the DME is reinstalled in the vehicle and you will be able to flash any supported tuning software you choose through the OBD port (BM3, MHD, AutoTuner, etc.). This service ensures your DME is unlocked properly and ready for tuning.
